This reference material is a translated version of the press release released in Dubai on October 16, 2021 (local time).

Huawei Japan (Corporate) [October 16, 2021, Dubai] Huawei Digital Power will host the Global Digital Power Summit 2021 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with more than 500 participants from 67 countries. It ended on the 16th of March. At this summit, Huawei Digital Power signed a major contract with SEPCO III for the Red Sea Project, the world's largest energy storage project, with 400MW PV and 1300MWh Battery Energy Storage Solution (BESS). Both sides will work together to help build a global clean energy and green economic center in Saudi Arabia. This 1300 MWh off-the-grid energy storage project is one of the largest projects of its kind in the world and a milestone in the global energy storage industry. The Red Sea Project is positioned as a major project of Saudi Vision 2030. The developer is ACWA Power and the EPC general construction contractor is SEPCO III. Located on the Red Sea coast, NEOM is known as a futuristic city powered by 100 percent renewable energy. As resources such as oil gradually deplete, NEOM leads a new way of life and promotes new economic growth. Huawei Digital Power has more than 10 years of experience in research and development of energy storage systems and application of energy storage systems of 8GWh and above. PV is the primary energy source by integrating digital information technology with PV and energy storage technologies and leveraging string, intelligent, and modular designs to build more efficient, stable, and safer smart string energy storage systems. We aim to support the creation of an environment-friendly and bright future.
